22nd Year Registration Features

Special Rider Numbers

In honor of our 22nd year, and back by popular demand, catch the fun by vying for Rider #22 or #2222! Here's how you can enter to win:

Rider #2222: Submit your registration postmarked by December 31 -- that's it! All registrations postmarked by December 31 will be automatically entered; no additional cost.

Rider #22 Win a prize package!: Free 2010 registration (we'll refund your fee if you win), an exclusive GOBA sweatshirt (size XL), a massage during GOBA week, 2010 PhotoDVD, & $20 gift card for Bob Evans Restaurants!

Register by April 15, 2010 & include your donation for raffle chances at $5 each. All proceeds from the raffle go directly to the Bicycle Development Fund to benefit Ohio bicycle-related projects. Buying more chances = more chances to win.

Both drawings will be held in the GOBA office, and winners will be notified within four weeks of the contest closing. The GOBA office will then void out winners' original rider number and issue the new GOBA-22 numbers.

After You Register

Confirmation Packet

Registrants will receive a confirmation packet by mail within a few weeks after registering (we are not able to provide any earlier confirmation of registration, such as phone or email). The packet will contain medical information cards for everyone in your group -- please complete these and mail them back in to us as soon as possible.

Your group's rider numbers will also be included. Please keep track of these; they will facilitate the check-in process, and help us locate your registration should any questions arise.

You will receive other items (wristband, rider number placard, car-camper passes, etc.) at the start of the tour, when you check-in in Logan.

Other Mailings

Periodically, you will receive other mailings from us: March, May, and June newsletters, T-shirts (if ordered with your registration), and the GOBA Digest (if hard-copy delivery is chosen at registration).

The Digest will be published here on the website around May 29. If you check "Web-Pub" on your registration form, you will not receive a hard copy. We invite you to help us save paper by choosing that option when you register.

Our rider handbook, "The Way to GOBA," is published online only, but if you would like to have a hardcopy mailed to you, please call us at 614-273-0811, ext. 1).

The Jersey will be shipped by early June; the PhotoDVD will be shipped a few months after the tour.

Deadlines

Cancellation with refund - May 19

Refund requests must be sent by certified mail and be postmarked by May 19, 2010; there will be no refunds for any reason after this date. A $47 processing fee will be deducted from all refunds. Address your letter to the registration address, above.

Registration - May 19

The deadline to enter is 5:00pm EDT, May 19, 2010. Please note, this is not a postmarked-by date; we must have your fully paid registration & signed waiver by this date. If you are registering at the last minute, you may want to consider FedEx or other express delivery. Online registration will close promptly at 5pm.

Miscellaneous

All registrations are for the entire week--no partial-week registrations. All participants must register, whether or not they are bicycling. Each registrant must agree with and sign the Liability Waiver and Indemnification Agreement (custodial parent or legal guardian signs for entrants under 18). Registrations are not accepted without payment and are non-transferable. Incomplete or improperly filled-out applications will be returned without being processed.

Age restrictions: In order to be a GOBA participant who rides on or is pulled by a bicycle, a child must reach their 2nd birthday by June 19, 2010. Note the age restriction does not apply to registered children in a car, accompanying other registered riders. Also be advised, GOBA volunteer support vehicles do not carry child safety seats.

If you should need ambulance transportation on the tour, you may need to pay for it. Bring your medical insurance card.

Pets: Since our overnight facilities have restrictions regarding animals on the grounds, we must request that you not bring your pets into GOBA campgrounds.

Alcohol is not permitted in the camping areas of GOBAville. In addition, some of our facilities strictly prohibit the use of alcohol on all parts of their grounds. Non-compliers will be asked to leave the tour.

As with any physical activity, you should consult your physician about your ability to participate in GOBA.
