Other options on registration form

Web Publications Help us save paper by choosing this option to read the 2013 GOBA Digest online, rather than receiving a printed copy by mail. It should be available online around May 30; check our homepage periodically for updates.

Note that our rider handbook, The Way to GOBA, is available exclusively online; contact us if you are not able to access it and need a copy mailed to you.

Bicycle Parade Check "yes" if you think you will participate in the GOBA Bicycle Parade in Urbana on Saturday, June 15. Parade details will be in one of the spring newsletters.

Vegetarian Meals We provide information about vegetarian meal needs to the local non-profit groups who are preparing meals. This is not, however, a guarantee that vegetarian meals will be available from every food vendor. Since you will be purchasing all your meals and snacks, you are free to choose among non-profit groups, restaurants, or grocery stores. Be sure to ask at the local Info Booth in each camp for directions to these options.

After you register

You will receive a confirmation packet in the mail within a few weeks of registering. This packet will include the rider numbers for eveyone in your group, as well as medical information cards, which you should complete and mail back to us as soon as possible. Car campers will have an additional form to complete and send back.

Policies

All registrations are for the entire week--no partial-week registrations. All participants must register, whether or not they are bicycling. Each registrant must agree with and sign the Liability Waiver and Indemnification Agreement (custodial parent or legal guardian signs for entrants under 18). Registrations are not accepted without payment and are non-transferable. Incomplete or improperly filled-out applications will be returned without being processed.

Age restrictions In order to be a GOBA participant who rides on or is pulled by a bicycle, a child must reach their 2nd birthday by June 15, 2013. Note the age restriction does not apply to registered children in a car, accompanying other registered riders. Also be advised, GOBA volunteer support vehicles do not carry child safety seats.

Financial resposibility If you should need ambulance transportation on the tour, you may need to pay for it. Bring your medical insurance card.

Pets Since our overnight facilities have restrictions regarding animals on the grounds, we must request that you not bring your pets into GOBA campgrounds.

Alcohol is not permitted in the camping areas of GOBAville. In addition, some of our facilities strictly prohibit the use of alcohol on all parts of their grounds. Non-compliers will be asked to leave the tour.

Your ability to ride As with any physical activity, you should consult your physician about your ability to participate in GOBA.

Food is not included in the registration fee; you pay for all your meals & snacks as you go.

Smoking is not permitted inside public facilities and restaurants in Ohio. Also, some of the local facilities during GOBA week may have their own restrictions that apply throughout their grounds. Please observe all no-smoking signs.
